This book is written by Sil lai Abrams she is an accomplished woman whom no one would have ever thought has been through the trials and tribulations that she has. In this book she writes about how you can use the SEPIA method a nine step process that will help you to stop repeating the patterns of drama in your life. Sil lai wants everyone who reads this book to be able to stop living from crisis to crisis and instead live a meaningful life, sounds good to me!

2. - Become a Better You by Joel Osteen
Well this one is pretty simple Joel Osteen wrote this book in an effort for its readers to become a better person. This book is supposed to inspire you to realize your full potential and live your life to that potential.

3. - Love's Executioner & Other Tales of Psychotherapy by Irvin D. Yalom
In this book there are 10 featured stories about Yalom's patients and the experiences he has had in counseling. I'm definitely going to find the time to read this one if it kills me.

4. - The Sercret by Rhonda Byrne
I just want to read it to see what the hell the big deal was!!!

5. - A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Tolle
Well it made it on to Oprah's Book Club so it must not be that bad of a read. I'm a sucker for books about life's purpose and what not and when I flipped through this one in the bookstore it looked intriguing.

6. - Saving Graces: Finding Solace and Strength from Friends and Strangers by Elizabeth Edwards
Elizabeth Edwards the wife of John Edwards wrote this book after her first battle with cancer. She talks about her struggles and her success through dealing with life's challenges including losing a child, cancer, and her husbands political career. I read about this book in a magazine at a doctors office one day and it sounded very genuine and encouraging.

7. - The Choice by Nicholas Sparks
I love Nicholas Sparks books. I think they are romantic and tell a great story but being that they are written by a man it's not super duper girly, which I must admit is usually a deal breaker for me. This is his newest book I believe and I haven't yet had a chance to read it so that's why it's on the list.

8. - How Would Love Respond?: Imagine If You Were Given a Gift So Powerful That You Knew You Had to Share It with the World by Kurek Ashley
This dude survived a helicopter crash and his best friend died in his arms. So I'm thinking this must be a pretty powerful book. Ashley went through severe depression afterwards and some how managed to not only turn his life around but share his ideals, gifts, and spirituallity with others to teach the world how we all should be living this life.

9. - The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate by Gary Chapman
Dr. Gary Chapman has been a marriage counselor for years. A difficult career path to say the least. In this book he talks about how he has defined the ways that we express love in a relationship in five "languages". He describes the languages and shares stories of people he has worked with and believes that if people understand how their mate expresses love and how to express love in a way that your mate can acknowledge it then you can make your marriage work and be happy in it. I'm not married but just from a counseling point of view it interests me and sounds like a good read.

10. - Shrunken Heads (The Insane, the Profane, and the Profound on the Road to Becoming a Psychologist) by Gregory Lester
I had the priviledge of attending one of Dr. Lester's seminars a month or so ago. He works with Axis II patients, patients who suffer with personality disorders. He gave us such an indepth look into personality disorders why they are so hard to treat and different ways to treat patients. It was the best training that I have been to yet. He talked to us briefly about this book, the first book that he wrote. He also has a new book out called Power with People: How to Handle Just About Anyone to Accomplish Just About Anything. This book is as it says about his journey to become a psychologist and some of the outrageous things that happened to him on the way.
